Twins recall Travis Adams

Twins are calling for right-handed Travis Adams For his major league debut, as Lonnie Murray of Adams Agent Sports Management partner first announced on Instagram. After A’s 14 runs against Minnesota yesterday, he may be in the bullpen to provide some time. Adams has been on the 40-man roster and has been selected to play Triple-A in spring training (so, though never in a major). Therefore, the twins only need the corresponding 26 actions to bring him up.

Adams, 25, is the twins’ sixth round pick in 2021. Minnesota has added him to the 40-man lineup in November to protect him from being drafted in the 2024 Rule 5 draft. Given that Adams is about to have a season ahead of him, with a strikeout rate of 3.90 ERA, 22.6% strikeout rate, 6.7% walk rate and 43.8% ground ball rate of 43.8% ground rate between Double-A and Triple-A in 127 innings, it is reasonable to think that several clubs may have indeed lowered his interests from the upper level of the twin farm, but what he’s left is unprotected him.

So far, Adams has pitched well by 2025. He made two abbreviated starts and 11 long-term reliefs, totaling 42 innings, with an ERA of 3.43, strikeout rate of 21.3%, walking rate of 5.7% and 43.4% ground ball rate. He hasn’t played more than 4 1/3 innings in any game this season, but over the last five rounds, he has averaged 58 courts per game – including 66 of the most recent appearances – so he should be extended for any role that the twins envisioned.

Baseball America ranked 22nd in the hands of twin farmers, while MLB.com ranked him 21st. He doesn’t have a great reinforcement course, but offers a wide variety of average courses and solid command. Each of the BA, MLB.com and Fangraphs gets Adams a solid average of 50 grade on fastball and has 55 (above average) scores on another court or his command (he is at BA’s Cutter, his Slider at MLB.com’s Slider at Slider at FG). Generally speaking, the right hand on the right side of the 6’1″ is considered a rotary arm or potential multi-inning relief.

The twins might consider some of Adams’ starts. The prospect of the companion David Festa Touted among the top 100 minor league players in the sport before exhausting his rookie status, he maintained three rounds of effort earlier this season, but recently he was slowed down by some biceps/shoulder inflammation and was hit with eight runs in yesterday’s 3 2/3 innings against A-Heeguchi. Festa gets its first look in the spin to replace the injured Pablo López – Who would be out for months due to the heavy pressure – But after yesterday’s rough outing, would he see it again.

Currently, the twins have four beginners. Joe Ryan (2.91 Era), Bailey Ober (3.48 Era) and Chris Paddack (3.58 ERA) have performed well this season. Rookie right-handed Zebby Matthewsanother top 100 unit struggled for the first time in the Grand Slam this season, but in the past three rounds, it has been 20 to 5 k/bb at a rate of 3.94 ERA at a rate of 20 to 5 k/bb. That quartet seems to be temporary, festa, Adams and Righty Simeon Woods Richardson (Choose last month, but looks better in Triple-A) One of the fifth choices among employees.
