Rattlesnakes specify Sergio Alcantara for allocation

Rattlesnakes announce infielder Sergio Alcantara Has been assigned as a job. This move is a return Ketel Marteactivated from the restriction list.
Alcantara just signed by D’Backs on Friday, but his brief time on the roster didn’t lead to any game time. Since Alcantara is a minor league choice, he has to pass a saving throw whenever his team wants to send him to the triple A and get him out of the 40-man roster. Since Alcantara has replaced it in the past, he has the ability to refuse direct missions and elect free agents.
The infielder used this exact mechanic a week ago, opting for the open market after the Giants DFA and his attempt to hit him thoroughly on Triple-A. Since he has just arrived, it seems Alcantara may have stayed more openly in the Arizona organization, but time will tell if Alcantara may prefer to join a club with infield positions that are open than a fairly large number of Rattlers.
Alcantara made her debut with the Tigers in 2020, before taking semi-regular productions as in-depth choices for the Bears, Rattlers and Padres in the 2021-22 season. He spent 2023-24 seasons at the minor league level and saw three clubs on the show (D’Backs, Cubs and Pirates), not seeing more action, and his tenure in San Francisco did lead to a major major league game after signing with San Francisco last offseason. Alcantara was the starting shortstop for the Giants’ 11-2 loss to track and field on July 4.
Alcantara has only one .207/.278/.340 diagonal showcases 506 professional crickets in the Grand Slam, so his multi-pose gloves are more famous than his bats. Alcantara is a great defender at shortstop, second and third bases, so clubs that require some infield depth may consider making a waiver claim.
Marte missed the first two games of the All-Star Rattlers due to personal issues, and USA Today Bob Night Eyre reported that Matt’s home was robbed during the break. The Second Baseman will return to the roster today and hopes to continue another huge season (290/.394/.567) for the three-time All-Star Game (290/.394/.567).
