NHL Rumor: Will Connor McDavid go in the short term or long term?

Will Connor McDavid go short-term, or will he want to maximize it?

“If I’d better look at Connor McDavid at this point, I guess it’s not an eight-year deal. It’s probably less than four years than that, probably four, and between $16 and $17 in the AAV. These are just courts.
This is the best I can collect right now. Not even convinced at all that it would be a four-year contract. I still think it makes sense to get aid and finish it.
If you are Connor McDavid, the last thing you have to do is to take a closer look again. And you know, he has so much leverage and control that if he decides four or three years later, the Edmonton Oilers don’t finish it, he won’t have a chance to win there, then, the best player in the world just raised his hand, and I’m going to say. They have no choice but to achieve it.
So I think signing a shorter deal under Edmonton’s butt is faster than anything else. Just something to remember.
Edmonton Oilers Didn’t Consider Carter Hart
b/rOpen ice: Whether Frank Seravalli has the Edmonton Oilers interested in signing goalkeeper Carter Hart. Hart and four other players were acquitted but are currently deemed ineligible by the NHL. The NHLPA disagrees with this.

“Carter Hart, I’m told Carter Hart is not going to start with the Edmonton Oilers. Aside from that, he’s now the starter for everyone, which is made possible by him in a hockey sexual assault case in London court in Ontario, as ruled last week.
Look, he, he and four other former NHL players are marked as ineligible by the NHL and they will continue to review the document before determining what next steps are for the Commissioner’s Office.
So, until they were cleared to kick, even if the NHLPA strongly opposed how the NHL viewed this situation, it wasn’t even really worth the conversation.
