D-backs sign Matt Foster to deal with minor leagues

Rattlesnake signs relief Matt Foster Sign a minor league contract. The move was announced by their Triple-A club in Reno.

Foster, 30, has been pitching in Algodoneros del Unión Laguna in Mexico for the past month and a half. He thrived in that extremely batting friendly environment and could only run twice (once) in 13 2/3 innings. The correct punch hit 13, not walking any of the 51 hitters he faced. This production of Alabama products will soon be done and a way to return to the dance will be found.

The D-backs are just the second Major League Baseball organization in Foster’s career. He was selected by the White Sox in 2016 and was part of four seasons for the Chicago game. Foster’s best season was in 2020, when he beat 28% of his opponents in 28 2/3 innings, when he turned to the 2.20 ERA. His work fell behind between 2021-22 and he underwent surgery by Tommy John in early 2023. These feature an average fastball speed of 91.9 mph, which is better than he sat there before the surgery with two ticking feet.

Arizona bullpen was destroyed due to injury. Justin Martinez,,,,, Christian Mining,,,,, aj puk,,,,, Kendall Graveman and Christian Montes de Oka All on the shelf. Martinez and Montes de OCA have had surgery and MENA has been out for several months. Puk was recently shut down, no longer thrown, and went for further evaluation due to the lingering soreness when repairing the flexor muscle strain.
