Manchester United reportedly prepares to try again with a potential right-wing right-wing Bryan Mbeumo, who is also a target for Tottenham Hotspur.
According to Sky Sports, the Red Devils are expected to bring new bids to Cameroon International, who are said to remain calm about the competition for the Spurs.
The report notes that Man Utd had previously failed a £55 million bid, but Brentford is still open to selling Mbeumo if it gets more than £60 million.
Mbeumo is one of the most productive offensive players in the Premier League in 2024/25, scoring 20 goals in 38 games and contributing 7 assists.
United have had a really bad season and it makes sense that people with Mbeumo profiles are attractive to them.
Bryan Mbeumo can take Manchester United to another level
Mbeumo may have taken longer than some players to reach the top level, but at the age of 25 he seems to be entering a very strong peak of his career.
Playing the fourth-place scorer in the Premier League, and a team like Brentford certainly won’t be sniffed.
| Player | game | Target |
| Mohamed Salah | 38 | 29 |
| Alexander Isak | 34 | twenty three |
| Erling Haaland | 31 | twenty two |
| Bryan Mbeumo | 38 | 20 |
| Chris Wood | 36 | 20 |
Given that United struggled to score last season, it was clear that Mbeumo was just an upgrade they needed to perform poorly for like Marcus Rashford, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho.
MUFC’s top scorers in the league were Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo, who made eight attempts.
If Mbeumo can bring his Brentford form to Old Trafford and tied with New Signing Matheus Cunha, Ruben Amorim’s team may be more promising next season.
Will Bryan Mbeumo follow Thomas Frank to Tottenham Hotspur?
One thing that cannot be overlooked is that Thomas Frank has just left the role of Brentford manager to replace Tottenham’s Ange Postecoglou.
Mbeumo obviously played some great football under Frank, so it would make sense if he felt connected to the Spurs’ Danish tactician again.
However, Sky Sports claims Mbumo is currently leaning towards Manchester United.
