Liverpool may be forced to consider selling Ibrahima

Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate’s future at Anfield is still uncertain, with European giants Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid having great interest as contract negotiations continue.
The 26-year-old French International Company’s current contract expires in 2026 and has been a key figure in Liverpool’s defense attorney since arriving from RB Leipzig in 2021.
Liverpool is eager to receive Konate’s long-term service after launching the contract extension talks.
However, there is still no consensus on the new agreement of the French international defense lawyer.
Konate faces uncertain future at Liverpool
Saudi professional league team Al Hilal is now joining Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in pursuit of Liverpool defender Konate, according to BBC reporter Sam Mokbel.
“One name to focus on is Ibrahima Konate,” Mokbel said in a Q&A on its website.
“He is negotiating a new contract, but his existing deal will end next season.
“If there is no agreement, then it’s interesting whether Liverpool considers French International to avoid losing his offer in 2026. Paris Saint-Germain and Al Hillal are clubs I’ve heard of and they’re interested in Konate.”
Liverpool faces a delicate situation, especially after Trent Alexander-Arnold recently left Real Madrid.
Red desires to avoid repeated scenes, where the key player leaves in free transfers.
Therefore, if the contract negotiations with Konate do not produce a positive result, Liverpool may consider obtaining an offer for transfer fees for the defense lawyer.
The Reds may have to sign new central defender

The situation surrounding Ibrahima Konate is still worthy of attention. Reds supporters will hope a resolution sees the talented defender continue his journey at Anfield, which contributes to the team’s pursuit of further success.
He has been a regular starter for the Premier League champions in Arne’s goal, with the defender making 31 league games last season.
The Reds have previously been linked to the moves of Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, who faces similar contract conditions to Selhurst Park.
