Chelsea and Newcastle United are reportedly seeking a potential summer transfer window for Bayern Munich central defender Kim Min-jae.
The South Korean international team has not reached its best since joining Bayern, despite having previously impressed in the spells of Napoli and Fenerbahce.
According to Foot Mercato, Kim's future seems to be somewhat questionable before the summer, with both Chelsea and Newcastle contacting his agent for the possibility of moving.
Kim Jong Il is certainly likely a useful signing for Premier League top league clubs, a report suggests he is willing to move to the UK.
But it remains to be seen how much more is left if Bayern is ready to sell the 28-year-old.
Kim Min-ja might be a useful signature as Chelsea needs to strengthen its defense
For Chelsea, it was a bad second half of the season, and manager Enzo Maresca will certainly be eager to strengthen his defense.
The Italian tactician has injured Wesley Fofana for most of the season, and the Frenchman's fitness record will surely worry everyone in the club.
Meanwhile, neither Benoit Badiashile, Tosin Adarabioyo nor Trevoh Chalobah are too convincing.
It's easy to see Kim as an upgrade for these players, so if anything is involved, this could end up being a wise move for the Blues.
Meanwhile, Newcastle hopes to get rid of Bayern, perhaps another attractive destination for Kim.
Hipies looks like the real place, winning the Calabar Cup final this season while continuing to challenge Champions League qualification.
It's interesting how the legend has evolved and whether there are other Premier League clubs that end up joining Kim's signature game in the coming weeks and months.
