Diaz pays tribute to Jota, Bayern wins Super Cup

Luis Diaz paid tribute to Diogo Jota after scoring his first Bayern Munich goal to help them beat Stuttgart 2-1 in DFL-Supercup.
Bayern won the home of the DFB-Pokal winner, adding a trophy to the inside cabinet of the trophy, and the Bundesliga champions led by Harry Kane in the 18th minute until Diaz opened the club’s account 13 minutes from the end of normal time.
Kane opened to the bottom left after Stuttgart failed to clear the ball forward from Michael Olise.
Diaz returns home from close range from Serge Gantry’s Loft Ball to the right and recognizes Jota’s memory by copying the celebrations of his former Liverpool teammates. Jota and his brother Andre Silva died in a car accident in Spain last month.
Stuttgart was one late by Jamie Leweling, but his 93rd minute effort was futile.
Monaco’s goal of debut
Eric Dier helped Bayern win the Bundesliga last season, and the former Tottenham Defender made his debut in Monaco after joining the Ligue 1 club for free transfer.
Dier led the way with his own goal to beat Le Havre 3-1 to beat Le Havre.
After Rassoul Ndiaye returned for Le Havre, Maghnes Akilouche secured Monaco points in the 74th minute, knocking after Dennis Zakaria’s excellent work.
Elsewhere in Ligue 1, financially troubled Lyon started the victory, with Georges Mikautadze scoring a 1-0 victory in the camera.
Kubo earns points for Sociedad
Most of Laliga’s drama appeared on Saturday, with two players knocked out in Mallorca and Ferran Torres controversial in Barcelona’s 3-0 start win.
But as Valencia hosted Real Sociedad in Mestalla, the last club in Barca or Barca or two Madrid are also taking action.
Diego Lopez brought Valencia a lead in the 57th minute, clouding home from Dani Raba’s Top.
But Takefusa Kubo equalized Sociedad’s perspective three minutes later, finding the bottom right corner in a great hit on the edge of the area.
Another match for Laliga saw Alaves beat Levante 2-1.
