Arsenal Racing Signs “One of the Best 10 Seconds in the World”

Wednesday night proved that this season could get worse for Arsenal fans.
While the Gunners are almost going to reach a deal with another season without a trophy, they have to watch the painful rival Tottenham Hotspur champion win the Europa League and then book a spot in the Champions League next year.
So to make sure the silverware is on the red side next season, Andrea Berta and Co need to make sure they bring in some very talented players who can really play a role in the summer.
Fortunately, this looks likely to happen, as recent reports tie the club to one of the most exciting international figures on the continent, who could be the perfect upgrade for underperforming Martin Odegaard.
Arsenal sees Odegaard alternatives
Before entering the questionable star, it is worth mentioning some of the other exciting players touting to Arsenal in recent weeks, such as Rafael Leao and Bryan Mbeumo.
Transfer focus
Giant money deals, controversial moves and big-name slippers. This is the hometown of football fans' transfer news and opinions.
The former may have a release clause worth a staggering £145 million, but he has done well this season, scoring 12 goals and 13 assists in 50 games with AC Milan.
On the other hand, Mbeumo seems to be able to reach around £60m, which is probably the price side for the winger, who scored 19 goals for Brentford this season and provided nine assists for Brentford.
But if a player is going to come in and replace Odegaard, they need to feel comfortable in the middle of the park and have huge skills, that's where Xavi Simons comes in.
According to a recent Spanish report, Arsenal is one of several clubs interested in signing the RB Leipzig star.
Liverpool and Manchester United are also keen on Dutch International, with their price being around £60 million, according to the report.
This may be a complex and expensive transfer, but given Simmons' huge ability and potential, it's worth fighting for, especially since he will be the ideal Odegaard upgrade.
Comparison between Simons and Odegaard
So, the first thing to clear is that while Simmons can play games in many positions – which is another reason Arsenal should sign him – the attacking midfielder is his second-place role, and some other club-related wingers in recent weeks, we wouldn't be surprised if that's where Arteta and Co want to play him.
So his biggest competitor in game time will be Odegaard, so who stands out when we compare them?
Well, when it comes to pure output, it's the Dutch Mercurial Dutch ahead.
In just 33 appearances this season, the 22-year-old took to a social media analyst saying why he “one of the best 10s in the world” showed why he scored 11 goals and provided eight assists, which is the average goal per 1.73 games per 1.73 games.
By comparison, Norwegian Ace scored only five goals and provided 12 assists in 44 appearances, with an average of goals participating in every 2.58 games.
The one-sided nature of the comparison will only continue when we go back and look at the output of last season, when the Gunners Captain was actually in form and won the team's Player of the Year award.
For example, he played a considerable run of 11 goals and 12 assists in 48 games with an average of goals per 2.08 games.

However, the former PSV Gem performed better and ended the campaign with 10 goals and 15 assists with 43 appearances, a game that averaged goals per 1.72 games to participate.
Ultimately, while Odegaard remains a very talented footballer, he has been working hard this season and even though he was the best last year, Simons have performed well.
Therefore, Arsenal should do everything possible to sign the Leipzig Star before others beat them.
