Shire launches new combination T-shirt experience – Golf News

To celebrate its 18th year, Shire London announced the launch of a new “combination” Tee layout starting on June 1, 2025. This move is an important development for golfers to experience the only British course designed by Seve Ballesteros.

Known for its unique 6x PAR 3S, 6X PAR 4S and 6X PAR 5S configurations, as well as iconic features such as the Island Green Par-3 opening hole and S-shaped 18th green.

Shire London has long been known for its quality and difficulty. Now, with the introduction of combo cards, players will have the opportunity to enjoy the layout in a more tolerant, diverse and enjoyable way without losing the core role of the course.

The layout of the combo T-shirts creatively blends Tee positions from existing settings, including a blend of Ruby Tees (forward) and Emerald Tees (champion T-shirt), allowing players to solve each hole in new ways.

An exciting end

One of the most exciting changes is the reimagined 18th hole: traditionally a 4-shot 4, now it will serve as an adventure and reward 5-shot for the Emerald T-shirt, the seductive longer batsman goes green at one-two speed while still providing a safe outgoing route in front of the signature “S” lake.

“Golf should be fun, it’s fun,” said Tony Menai-Davis, managing director of Charles London. “For years, we knew the difficulties of the course might have set some golfers apart.

With the combo card, we will offer a more accessible, more estimable version of the Charles London, which still respects Seve’s genius but opens up the experience for more people. ”

The release of the combination card is in line with the 18th birthday of Charles London, marking a new chapter in the highly anticipated course.

The new layout is available for members and visitors, reaffirming Shire’s commitment to making champion-level golf more inclusive and pleasing.
