The ATP year-end No. 1 battle brought about by the PIF honor has entered the Nitto ATP Finals at the end of the season. Who will be crowned champion: Carlos Alcaraz or Jannik Sinner?
Both have won the award before – Alcaraz in 2022 and Sinner in 2024 – and one of them will win the prestigious trophy again.
Alcaraz leads Sinner by 1,050 points heading into the PIF ATP Live event in Turin. Whoever scores more points in the live race in Turin will be ranked number one at the end of the year.

No matter how much money Sinner makes, Carlos Alcaraz will have to score more than 450 points in Turin to guarantee he will end the year in first place. To do this, he can:
• Sweep the round robin.
• Reach the finals by winning either two round-robin matches or one round-robin match.
To have a chance at year-end No. 1 ranking, Sinner had to win the championship. He can achieve this in different ways.
If Alcaraz wins 0 games in Turin, Sinner:
• Must win the championship while winning at least one round robin round.
If Alcaraz wins a round-robin match in Turin but does not reach the final, Sinner must:
• Win at least two round robin matches
• Continue to win championships
If Alcaraz wins 2 games in Turin but does not reach the final, Sinner must:
• Win the championship as an undefeated champion
The 2025 Nitto ATP Finals kick off on Sunday in Turin.
