LIV Golf adds pathway to 2026 league – Golf News

In an exciting end to the LIV Golf season, celebrating Jon Rahm’s 2025 individual title win in Indianapolis and his Legion XIII’s 2025 LIV Golf team championship in Michigan, the league has confirmed increased qualifying opportunities for 2026 through the International Series and LIV Golf Promotions.

LIV Golf CEO said: “LIV Golf continues to expand access to the first truly global golf league for players around the world Scott O’Neill. “As fan interest in LIV Golf continues to grow and the opportunities to compete against some of the biggest names in golf continue to grow across the U.S., Asia Pacific, Africa, Europe and the Middle East, we are naturally broadening the opportunities for talented, ambitious players to enter the league.”

LIV Golf has expanded the exemption from one player to two players through the International Series, a series of premium events sanctioned by the Asian Tour. The top two players in the final ranking of the 2025 International SeriesNot yet exempted and will be eligible for LIV Golf in 2026.

The global series has hosted events this year in India, Macau, Japan, Morocco, Indonesia, Philippines and Hong Kong, with two events remaining. Zimbabwe’s Scott Vincent (325.59 points) and Philippines’ Miguel Tabuena (221.19 points) are currently ranked first and second respectively, and the series is about to enter its final two events: the Moutai Singapore Open (November 6-9) and the PIF Saudi International hosted by SoftBank Investment Advisors in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (November 19-22).

The league also announced the details of the third edition of the competition today LIV Golf Promotionoffering elite players from around the world an exciting pathway to earn a spot in the 2026 LIV Golf League and International Series. The tournament will be held January 8-11, 2026 Black Diamond Ranch, Lecanto, FLfour rounds of stroke play over four days. Alliances will now reward The top two players to obtain full season seats in the 2026 LIV Golf League, In 2025, the ranking will increase by one. The top 10 players (including ties) will receive full exemptions to the 2026 Asian Tour-sanctioned international series. LIV Golf Promotions is also offering $1.5 million in prize money.
