Opening Game: World Series, Angels, Recruiting

As we wait for the World Series to begin, here are three things we’ll be focusing on throughout the day today:
1. World Series lineup:
The Mariners would go another year without reaching the World Series. After leading most of the game, Seattle right Edward Bazardo Pitches a three-run home run to a veteran hitter George Springer Toronto led 4-3 in the seventh inning, and they managed to maintain their lead after several scoreless innings. Chris Bassett and Jeff Hoffman. Now, the Blue Jays are heading to their first World Series since 1993 and will try to prevent the Dodgers from becoming the first team to defend a World Series title since the Yankees from 1998-2000. For this series, the club is expected to start from Beau Bichettehe told reporters (including Sportsnet’s Shi Davidi ) that he will “Ready” Go play then.
2. Angel investment management teams are facing drastic changes:
Anaheim’s managerial search once looked fairly simple for future Hall of Famer albert pujols As a runaway favorite. Days ago, the Angels expanded their search with plans to interview special assistants torii hunter and Kurt Suzuki and interest in a number of other possible candidates. Things took a dramatic turn yesterday, with reports that both Pujols and Hunter are now out of the race. This makes the job search somewhat precarious, as Suzuki is the only candidate currently interviewing for the position. Former Astros manager Bo Porter, who coached the Angels the past two seasons, has expressed interest in the job. Past reports indicate interest in both former Twins managers Rocco Baldelli The Angels also have former Orioles manager Brandon Hyde on their side, though it’s unclear if the interest is mutual, and recent reports indicate the Angels have yet to contact either of them, or any of the other outside candidates they’re reportedly interested in.
3. Is recruitment ongoing?
With the World Series matchup now set, baseball will enter a three-day lull before Game 1 on Friday. Traditionally, teams delay announcing major hires such as head coaches or general managers in October until the day there are no games in the playoffs. With several executive searches underway around the league, as well as a general manager search in Colorado, is there one or more clubs looking to use the next few days to officially name a new leader? The Giants have been monitoring Tony Vitlow for several days and a conclusion is expected as soon as today, while the Rockies hope to narrow their general manager search this week. It’s also possible that gaps in reports that are less specific will be filled in the coming days, especially from a team as traditionally tight-lipped as the Braves.
