Track and Field Athlete, a leading developer of radar tracking technology for golf performance analysis, has signed a new three-year agreement to become the official launch monitor and official spherical tracking technology for the DP World Tour.
A key component of the partnership will be Trackman’s broadcasting service for the DP World Tour, with its ball tracking technology providing fans with rich data and insights. The tour’s social media team will also leverage Trackman’s spherical tracking technology and shoot data to create new content chains and challenges for fans to enjoy. Audiences will also be able to test their skills through the Trackman Simulator experience at each season’s DP World Tour event.
DP World Tour will also support Trackman’s continued growth through a range of business support services. This includes continuing collaboration on the next Golf Tour offered by Trackman, an innovative simulator-based golf tour that was launched in 2023. The winner of the next medal of merit is currently invited to participate in three Hotelplanner Tour events and a DP World Tour event, while the runner-up will be invited to participate in three Hothplanner Tour events. Additionally, DP World Tour helps promote dedicated features for the next Tour digital channel and broadcast feed.
Trackman’s “Little Orange Box” is a familiar sight of driving range in professional golf competitions around the world and is trusted by elite players, coaches, equipment manufacturers and club fitters to provide ultra-proprietary data on nearly every aspect of club sports and ball flight. The company also provides simulator hardware and software for golfers of all levels.
Track and field athletes have also expanded golf to provide ball tracking and other data services for soccer, baseball and American football players. Looking ahead, DP World Tour will become a highly anticipated incubator for Trackman’s latest technological innovations.
