Chelsea agrees broadly with £61m ‘game-changing’

Although they may not have spent real huge amounts of money on Windows in the past, Chelsea is still busy in the market this summer.
On the surface, the outstanding signings for the league champions are Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and Jamie Gittens, who will now secure a highly rated Jorrel Hato every day.
But despite all the great deals they were able to overcome the boundaries, they had to watch Liverpool score free-scoring Hugo Ekitiké, who was touted as the Stamford Bridge on the earlier windows.
Fortunately, if the report can be believed, the West Londoner might shut down a player who could become the French attacker’s own version.
Chelsea aims to make its own ekitike
Now, while a lot has happened this summer and it is often difficult to track every deal and rumour, Chelsea does associate with Ekitike with a few points at the beginning of the window.
But with the Blues clearly focusing on other more pressing goals and perhaps not as interested as some stories suggest, Liverpool stole the parade on them and received the French service for £69 million.
Interestingly, while the former Eintracht Frankfurt star is obviously no longer available now, the West Londoner does look like he stands out on another offensive gem that might be his.
At least according to the latest report by German media Bild, which reiterates Chelsea’s strong interest in the talented Xavi Simons.
The report took a step further, revealing that the Blues have now reached a broad agreement with the players themselves, and although they have not yet made a formal proposal to RB Leipzig, it is believed that German clothing costs 70 million euros, or about £610 million.
Crossing this line would be an expensive transfer, but given Simmons’ ability and potential, it’s worth it, especially since he can be their own ekitike.
Why can Simmons become Chelsea’s own ekitike
Now, the first thing to say is that while Simmons is a versatile player and someone has played a few times, he is not a center like ekitike, there are still several reasons for the former, the former may be the latter version of Chelsea.
First, the young Dutchman will also enter the “Big Six” side of the Premier League from the Bundesliga side outside of Leipzig’s traditional big two, with how the Frenchman moved to Merseyside from Eintracht Frankfurt.
Second, both players are moving at similar ages, with the midfield master only 22 years old and the exciting center just 23 years old.
The last surface level similarity is that both of them spent a lot of time playing for Paris Saint-Germain.
Simons joined the youth system on the French side in 2019, then left and rejoined in the next few years until he moved to Leipzig in January this year, while the new Liverpool star joined the Parisian in July 2022 before leaving Germany in a permanent deal two years later.
Finally, while former PSV Eindhoven Dynamo is unlikely to match 22 goals in 48 games scored at Stamford Bridge last season, as he tends to play, he still has the ability to be the offensive tour and can help Maresca and Co.’s overhead game.
For example, in the last season, with only 33 appearances for a total of 2,763 minutes, Amsterdam-born “game-changing” was called 11 goals by talent scout Jacek Kulig and provided 8 assists.

In other words, a sensational talent that an analyst calls “one of the 10 best players in the world” manages to average goals every 1.73 games or every 144 minutes.
Ultimately, while that’s not cheap, Chelsea should do whatever it can to bring Simmons to West London this summer as he can add some real quality to their offense and be Ekitike’s answer.
