Tigers sign Geoff Hartlieb to sign minor league contract

The tiger signed Geoff Hartlieb According to Hartlieb’s MLB.com profile page, assign the right hand to minor contracts and the right hand to Triple-A Toledo. Hartlieb made his debut for Toledo today, throwing a 1 1/3 relief innings and winning the victory over Omaha (Roys’ Triple A Club).
Just two days ago, Hartlieb chose to test the market rather than accepting the thorough task of the Yankees Triple A Club. Hartlieb has been eliminated several times over the years and is therefore entitled to reject any further further preference for free agency. Just early July, Hartlieb has been designated twice as a mission by New York – his first free agent trip has prompted him to re-sign with the Yankees, but the latest adventure now sees Hartlieb land in Detroit.
The 30-year-old Hartlieb threw in part of six major league seasons, although only 80 2/3 professional innings on the show. The first 57 1/3 of these frameworks appeared in 2019-20 with the Pirates, and since then, Hartlieb has bounced up sporadic duties for the Metropolitan, Marlins and Rockies in addition to his time in the Bronx. Hartlieb has an ERA of 7.92, strikeout rate of 20.3%, and a very high walking rate of 14.9% for major league batsmen.
His 3-pointers are much better as Hartlieb scored a career-time of 4.17 on Triple-A ball, playing against Omaha today. This solid piece of minors has been gaining Hartlieb’s appearance from clubs that require depth of relief, and the Tigers is the latest team to bring their right hand to the ship. Hartlieb is the minor league choice, which will limit his flexibility if he is recalled to the Grand Slam, which could mean he will face future DFA limbo trips.
