Crystal Palace is signing left-back Borna Sosa

According to de Telegraaf, Crystal Palace is signing Ajax left-back Borna Sosa.

The 27-year-old defender joined Ajax from Stuttgart last summer for €8 million, and he has been working to meet expectations during his tenure at Eredivisie, prompting Ajax to consider the players in the window.

Dutch clubs are eager to push Sosa away, and Crystal Palace has identified the Croatian as ideal for strengthening its left-back position under manager Oliver Glasner.

The Palace’s goal was to build on a strong ending last season, and has been actively seeking to add mass and depth across the court and see Sosa as a player who can add offensive threat and technical quality to his left-back position.

The London club held its first official bid for SOSA on Friday, with further discussions with Ajax as the weekend negotiations entered advanced stages.

The negotiations have made positive progress, and the palace is optimistic about a deal that will soon be moved to Selhurst Park.

It is understood that he himself is eager to test himself in the Premier League after the Netherlands’ challenging spell.

The Palace hopes to strengthen key areas this summer as they aim to advance the first half of the Premier League while also preparing for next season’s Europa League campaign.

Wile Sosa may arrive at the club soon, and Arsenal’s target Eberechi Eze may go out and join the Gunners, although the Palace is exploring opportunities to sign Arsenal players as part of the deal.

Sports guard Ousmane Diomande is another player who has been linked to moving to Selhurst Park as Glasner moved in the transfer market.
