Joe Wahlund is a beautiful left gun defenseman who is very young. Despite his victory on the offensive end, his particularly strong anticipation and positioning shines especially in neutral and defensive areas. Wahlund is a late candidate for the 2025 NHL Draft and can be said to have gained more love than he does.

From a key point of view, Wahlund has a standard season and is willing to be selected. He was tied for 29 in J20 Nationell’s defenseman^Th Of the scoring, 20 of 43 games (four goals, 16 assists). Although this is incredible in the weaker youth league on paper, the Florida Panthers’ Gustav’s lawsuit was less speed in his draft year, but had four 30 points in the NHL.

Wahlund is more of a challenge for the junior, recording six points in five games. In the game, this beats all draft-qualified defenders. He also competed in the U18 world championship and scored two points in six games.

Wahlund’s Smarts are mostly away from the offensive zone. He was looking forward to being able to break the pass game and put his team on the offense. This shows both neutral zones and defense zones. Apart from stealing the puck, Wahlund is destructive in the slot through his position. He is useful for free throw killing in this way – scoring a lot here.

Wahlund also shows good gap control. He is rarely defeated by opposing strikers. His ingenuity becomes obvious when he is aggressive on the hockey carrier where there is no best place to pass – Warrend forces them to make a wrong decision to keep the game off.

Getting rid of his ability to close, Wahlund has good transition qualities. He was calm when he chose to break through the pass and showed a path of patience. His field of vision is not necessarily an X factor, but it works here. Additionally, Wahlund himself positioned the pass within his area well, which he used as a leverage to clean the exits.

Wahlund also has enough mobility and strength to be characterized by success on the next level. But does the NHL club agree?
