Man United did not hold talks with PSG star Gianluigi Donnarumma

Despite rumors in the media, Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has not yet negotiated with Manchester United or Chelsea.

According to famous transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, there was no negotiation between the Paris Saint-Germain scorer and the Premier League giant at this stage.

Reports have emerged in recent days, shifting Donnarumma with potential to the UK, United and Chelsea are said to be considering their goalkeeper choice before the new season.

Manchester United and Chelsea want a new goalkeeper

This speculation has attracted attention after the long-term future uncertainty of Old Trafford and Chelsea’s Andre Onana, who have neither fully believed in No. 1.

Romano provides updates to his X account:

“At this stage between Gigio Donnarumma and Man United or Chelsea, there was no talks.

“Despite the reports, there is nothing specific.”

Donnarumma, who was still signed with PSG until 2026, focused on his role in the French capital, at which point there is no formal way for any Premier League club.

The Italian goalkeeper was one of the best players in PSG last season and helped them win high notes under manager Luis Enrique.

So far, he has not signed a new contract at the club and his future has been the subject of speculation. Still, according to Romano, these rumors have no traction at the moment.

Man United and Chelsea continue to evaluate the transfer market, and in the long run, big-name goalkeeper signing is not the top of any club. But as of now, Gianluigi Donnarumma is not part of any specific plan of both parties.
