Wimbledon 2025 results: Teenager Mirra Andreeva makes direct progress

Andreeva has long been one of the most popular emerging talents on the WTA Tour, which she highlighted this year’s champions in Dubai and Indian Wells.
This makes her the youngest champion in WTA history, at the highest level below the Grand Slam or tennis.
Two years ago, her best result was not her favorite surface when she ran to the fourth round of the SW19.
But her forefoot style and the clever first set of web matches allowed her to quickly get a double break and then wrap up the opener in just 24 minutes after stepping onto the court.
The second set was followed by Bronzetti sorting out his mistakes and breaking them in Game 5.
Andreeva showed time to bid for her own time and backed off as Bronzetti tried to provide the scene out, and then she worked from 15-40 to save fixed points and levels in 5-5.
But after a lack of rest points, Andreeva brought the game to the game, and during a long rally, one of her shots put her in control, she won with a clever volley on the net at the second match point.
