Wimbledon 2025: Novak Djokovic cancels plan to practice ahead of Jannik Sinner semifinal

The prospect of watching 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic win is Jannik Sinner taking a spot in the Wimbledon final, a coveted race, but fitness concerns remain until Friday’s match.

Djokovic, 38, fell awkwardly in the quarterfinals against Flavio Cobolli, but he cheered up to end the victory and progress.

Meanwhile, Sina slipped on his right elbow in the fourth round against Grigor Dimitrov on Monday.

The Italian eventually made progress after his opponent retired from injury, but he was clutched to his elbow in the quarterfinals by defeating Ben Shelton.

Sina said he would be “100% fit” to face Djokovic, but the Serbs were not so sure and canceled the scheduled exercise on Thursday.

Sinner canceled a scheduled meeting on Tuesday and hit some lights indoors while waiting for the scan results.

Djokovic may have done the same – but that still poses doubts about his fitness.
