Wilson Ramos retires – MLB Trade Rumors

Long-term catcher Wilson Ramos Retired in 12 professional seasons and 18 professional football overall seasons. The 37-year-old Ramos announced in February that he was leaving the game and today “The Buffalo” signed a one-day etiquette contract to retire as a national.

In 2004, Ramos started his international signing career with the twins in 2004, making a major in 2010 with Minnesota, but on the same season’s trade deadline deadline. This is Ramos of Washington Kurt Suzukithen became a clear starting receiver at the end of his term with the Nath.

Ramos won him fourth in the NL Rookie of the Year vote in his first full MLB season in 2011, and his final year in Washington, D.C. earned him an All-Star nod and silver medal when he reached .307/.354/.496 with 22 home runs in 523 sets. Unfortunately for Ramos, he also suffered from the ACL at the end of the 2016 season, which prevented him from getting out of the playoffs (Nationals vs Dodgers lost NLDs as NL East won), and severely limited his earning potential when entering free agents.

Ramos made a two-year, two-year, $12.5mm deal with the Rays in 2017, returning 64 games in 2017, and then in 2018 the same as another All-Star season. He switched teams again this year when the Rays handed the receiver to the catchers, heading to Phillies on the trade deadline, Ramos continued his trip with NL East when he signed the two-year NL East to a two-year contract and a 19mm contract. He continued to perform well in the first year of the deal, but his game weakened after the 2019 season, with Ramos not playing in the major leagues after his 2021 season in Detroit and Cleveland.

That 2021 season ended painfully against Ramos as he tore the left ACL in August. Between this injury and two correct ACL tears, he left him early in his career, and it was wondering how Ramos would have performed if he had enjoyed a better health. Despite this, it’s striking that Ramos still has such a long career in the catcher despite multiple major knee injuries. Ramos has tried to make a comeback after his third ACL tear, playing in the Mexican League in 2022 and with the independent Long Island Ducks in 2023, and has played in some Venezuelan Winter Leagues in the past offseason.

Ramos retired in 3786 cricket games and 990 games with a .271/.318/.432 slash and 136 home runs. Rumors in the MLB trade rumors congratulate Ramos on his career and wish him all the best in retirement.
