Every Grand Slam champion has his own ritual, but Carlos Alcaraz’s may be the coolest. For the Spaniard, trophies don’t just sit on the shelf, they’re hidden under the skin. Wimbledon brought strawberries, Roland Garros brought the Eiffel Tower, and the U.S. Open brought bold designs featuring the Statue of Liberty.

Now, after winning the Australian Open and completing a career Grand Slam, what tattoo will join the growing gallery?

“I said it was going to be a kangaroo, of course, a wallaby,” Alcaraz said after beating Novak Djokovic in Sunday’s final.

The only mystery left is placement. The legs are locked, but is it the left leg or the right leg? That remains controversial, with the PIF ATP No. 1 joking that he has some time to decide.

“I don’t know where it’s going to be,” Alcaraz said. “It will definitely be on the leg. I don’t know if it will be the right or the left. I have to choose a good spot, but it will definitely be close to Roland Garros or Wimbledon. I just have to choose.”

Alcaraz now has seven Grand Slam titles and 15 Grand Slam titles, including Grand Slam titles, trophies at the Nitto ATP Finals and ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, and an Olympic singles gold medal. Opponent Sinner scored 11 points. Alcaraz continues to be ranked No. 1 in the PIF ATP Live Rankings, 3,350 points ahead of Sinner, the 2024 and 2025 Australian Open champion.

The Spaniard will soon be leaving Melbourne, but before leaving, the 22-year-old took part in a fun photo shoot with the Norman Brooks Challenge Cup at the Royal Exhibition Building on Monday.
