Will Andy Murray become a professional? Tennis legend competes in $4.9 million tournament

Tennis legend Andy Murray is preparing to wipe the golf club racket for a golf club at next month’s Alfred Dunhill Link Championships.

Tennis legend will receive a top prize of $4.9 million in the Pro-Am Championship, which will be held in the Scottish courses of three legends.

October’s event will feature senior arenas, with key winners Matt Fitzpatrick, Padraig Harrington, Dustraig Harrington, Dustraig Harrington, Martin Kaymer, Brooks Koepka, Louis Oosthuizen, Patrick Reed, Cam Smith and Bubba Watson all attending.

Murray, known for his competitive advantage, will certainly treat himself kindly. The Scots recently demonstrated his golf skills by getting an eagle on the famous 18th hole on the old court.

The two-time Wimbledon champion said: “I’m really looking forward to this. It’s very special to be able to participate in mature professional events.

“For a Scots like me, being able to do this in a unique location like Scotland makes it even better. In many ways, the old courses at St Andrews are very much like Wimbledon’s Central Court.

“They all have the same historical feeling and atmosphere as that that does not exist in many stadiums around the world.

Other celebrities will be on Murray, such as former Boyzone singer Ronan Keating, Bon Jovi drummer Tico Torres and Linkin Park bassist Dave Farrell.

Alfred Dunhill link champion pairing will be announced before the match.

Will Andy Murray go to professionalism?

It’s already been tough to reach the top of a solo sport, and it’s unlikely that we’ll see Murray Tee tee Off anytime soon.

Still, the 38-year-old is a serious competitor and has publicly expressed his ambition to become a golfer from scratch.

Scottish golf star Robert MacIntyre has previously worked with Murray and has since praised tennis idols for their rapid progress in the course.

“For someone who doesn’t have that many games, I think he’s good,” World 8 said. “I was impressed by his game. He will be scratched immediately.”

For Murray, October’s Alfred Dunhill Links outing will not be his first rodeo. In fact, the two-time Olympic gold medalist competed in the Pro-AM competition at the BMW PGA Championship in Wentworth.

The Scots teamed up with McIntyre, cricketer Jimmy Anderson and TV star Anton Du Beke to finish 13 shots behind the winning team.

It has been a year since the Wentworth event and when his latest professional AM outing begins on October 2, Murray will be determined to emphasize his progress.
