Wilcox “confident” seals “monster” people UTD transaction

United’s Ineos hierarchy avoids the same mistakes as previous regimes, although it does seem to have the true meaning of Deja Vu for Jason Wilcox’s pursuit of a new central direction.

Rewind two years ago, then-owner Erik Ten Hag identified Harry Kane as his main forward target, despite United cautiously negotiating with Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy.

The elderly British instead squeezed his luggage in Germany, while the Old Trafford side took a high-potential route. Although it was reported to be the fifth choice for ten partners at the time, the initial cost of Rasmus Hojlund at 20 was £64 million.

Hojlund, then a player coveted by Paris Saint-Germain, won praise for his promising performance in Atalanta, when his then-owner Gian Piero Gasperini emphasized his electric rhythm, his power gradually beat the serie a defense.

We all see the young Dane clip rushing into the box at an amazing speed. All dreamt of this “New Erling Haaland” proved to be the next Scandinavian shock on Premier League land.

What was overlooked, however, was his nine league goals scored in Bergamo’s lonely season, and such gambling has not yet paid off for the Red Devils. The same error cannot occur again under Wilcox.

The 22-year-old, who took the offense in a recent victory over Bournemouth 4-1, was associated with the window’s move to Milan earlier – outlining his “willing to stay and fight for his position, whatever happens”.

A bright start to the preseason is hopeful that Manchester United’s ninth place can start in 2025/26, although Hoylund may not have his own way, the report shows that he can be used as part of the deal to introduce new strikers.

Indeed, it has been claimed – including Laurie Whitwell of track and field – can make a deal that will lead the Danish little star to RB Leipzig, while Benjamin Sesko moves in the opposite direction.

According to other reports by journalist Graeme Bailey, he showed that there is “internal confidence” at Old Trafford that the Sesko deal will overcome this in their ongoing talks, and the club is currently signing with Newcastle United with Newcastle United: His signature:

“In their talks, Sesko confirmed that the lack of Champions League football this season was not an issue for him, as long-term programs and opportunities to work with Ruben Amorim were the main draw.

“I can also reveal that United made it clear to the people of Sesco that they know the size of the deal they need to land him and without that consideration, they wouldn’t be in the talks.

“United States has confidence, it’s undeniable, but they’re waiting – they also know that Newcastle has made a very strong case.”

Sesko, reportedly worth around £70 million (formerly the subject of Newcastle bids), is a hot property in Germany’s two stable seasons. In other words, don’t you feel a little familiar?

Why Manchester United takes risks and repeat risks

It seems like United have paid off for Hojlund’s full-strength decision for some time, after his devastating debut in September 2023, the towering left foot announced himself in a good way, a nuisance against Gabriel and William Saliba in their family defense demonstrated their harm.

Casemiro captured the image of the young man in the jersey – a sign of his becoming the one who won ten Hag men’s games – which caused a strong early impression, and Hojlund also won five rebounds through a six-game Champions League group stage outing, including five rims at Home to Galatasaray.

Such moments suggest that there is a player there, but he scored 26 goals in his 95 appearances, a costly risk that has not yet been paid off, and TNT Sports commentator Darren Fletcher specifically described the misfired shooter, perhaps “perhaps “the most unfortunate Manchester Manchester, the most unfortunate Manchester, ever”.

But should his plight be surprising? He scored only nine Serie A goals in his only season in the top five, after scoring 17 goals for Sturm Graz and FC Copenhagen in 53 games. It might be too far, too early to treat him as the leading forward.

Sesko’s path is worrying and so far quite similar, with the 22-year-old (actually younger than Hojlund) spending two seasons in the Bundesliga after playing 79 games at the Austrian season in Red Bull Salzburg, two seasons in the Bundesliga.

RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko celebrates Lukas Klostermann's second goal

The Slovenian turned down a Manchester United player for £2.5 million in 2019, with the Slovenian scoring double-digit league goals in the past two campaigns, although he has not tear it apart at 13 and 14 goals, respectively.

Like Hojlund, in the 6-foot-4 4, the On-Demand Shooter is a compelling figure, and analyst Ben Mattinson has been described as the “monster” of the striker. His preference for spectacle also makes the bystanders lick their lips – with a bunch of goals that anyone will be proud of.

That said, on the James Horncastle of Sports, he felt like he was just a “highlighter player” while the respected journalist even said he was similar to “Slovenian Andy Carroll”.

A great goal scorer, but not a great goal scorer, Manchester United is once again in a focus where they need skilled talent, not players with undoubted exciting potential.

Benjamin Sesco 2024-25 Statistics (Eternal)

Like the Ten Witches and Kane two years ago, Ruben Amorim is said to be inclined to sign the Premier League threat, Ollie Watkins. Maybe listening to the Portuguese coach this time would be the right choice?
