White Sox says: Cannon, Alexander, Perez, Robert

The starter chosen by the White Sox Jonathan Cannon I’m going to Charlotte this afternoon. They recalled Wikelman González And will work with the nine-person bullpen.

Apart from the three-week injury roster in June, Cannon has a place in Chicago’s rotation all season long. The previous third-round draft picks worked to hit 5.34 ERA in 19 games with below-average peripherals. Cannon strikes out at 17.7% with 1.69 home runs per 9 innings. He has played particularly tough tough, and has given up 18 runs on six long balls in the last three games.

Sophomore Cannon entered the season as one of the young experienced pitchers. He made 23 appearances as a rookie. Cannon turned to 4.49 ERA with a strikeout rate of 17.4% during his debut. If he spends at least 20 days in a minor, it will be the second of his three years.

Scott Merkin of MLB.com wrote Taylor Alexander There will be batch work when the Tigers rotates next week against the Tigers. Alexander has been in many rounds of relief since signing with Chicago in early June. He has already earned 2.89 ERA in 37 1/3 innings. Alexander can be up to 3-4 innings in the bullpen. He will be behind Shane Smith,,,,, Aarons,,,,, Sean Burke and Davis Martin Will Venable’s Spin.

Probably not long ago Martín Pérez Rejoin the group. The veteran South Claw threw four innings and 58 goals in his recovery, starting tonight’s Birmingham doubles. That was his second recovery from his return from inflammation in the elbow in April. Perez has played four games before his injury, with his ERA accounting for 3.15 ERA while beating 22% of batsmen. His reward will allow him to play five to six more times in the coming weeks before returning to free agency.

Meanwhile, GM Chris Getz talked to reporters on Friday about the team’s decision not to trade Louis Robert (linked via Vinnie Duber from Chicago’s Sun Age). The general manager talked about the desire to build intermediate talents and emphasized the catcher Edgar Quero and Kyle Teel And potential midfield pairing Colson Montgomery and Chase Meidroth.

Getz included Robert in that group. “We’re so glad that Luis Robert is joining the White Sox organization. … When he plays well, the team seems to be doing well and we’ll win,” he said. “He’s the guy we love the organization and we’re planning to make him a part of the future.” It’s not surprising after they choose to tie him up before the deadline. Robert started the season at least on right-hand pitching, but has been paired with a .365/.435/.554 cut since early July.

While that’s not enough to convince other teams to discover their own star form, it seems to prompt Sox to plan to exercise their 20mm club option. If Robert fell in the last six weeks but didn’t trade him, there wouldn’t be any change, and if Sox thought it’s very likely that he would play well enough to be worth the price to choose, it wouldn’t make sense. They can shop again during the offseason or take him into the next season, hoping he can play well enough to rebuild his trade value. His contract contains an additional 20mm team option for 2027.
