What’s next for Sergio Garcia after Ryder Cup Frozen and $1 million decision
Sergio Garcia missed emotional issues in the European Ryder Cup team, citing the upcoming Irish Open.
The Spaniard was not one of Luke Donald’s six captain draft picks on Monday, meaning he will miss the second consecutive version of the game.
Europe and the United States will hold a biennial event on September 26, facing face to face at Bethpage Black in New York.
Garcia’s omission seems to fuel his emotional fatigue, which is why he withdraws from the upcoming Irish Open.
The 45-year-old revealed that he is seeking to “recharge the battery” with his family, adding that Monday’s Ryder cups made it difficult for him to concentrate on this week’s K club.
When asked about his Ryder Cup miss, Garcia was good to Luke’s call, but obviously not the one I wanted. ”
“Now, the only thing I can do is support the team at home. It’s simple. I’m going to watch and cheer in the European team.”

The latter’s addition came at the expense of his twin brother Nicolai, which marked the only change being the party that regained the Roman trophy.
Garcia will miss a lot of paydays
Missing the Irish Open means Garcia won’t receive a $1 million prize.
Instead, it will be a star-studded field, battling big paydays in K clubs including McIlroy, Lowry and Hatton. American stars Brooks Koepka and Patrick Reed will also take action.
“I think I’m looking forward to being part of it [Ryder Cup] team. Psychologically, it’s a bit difficult. ” Garcia explained.
“I don’t want to go there [to the Irish Open] And not fully involved in tournaments and other things.
“So I just decided to take a little time to take a break, spend it with my family, do a few things, do something outside of golf, and then restart a little and charge the battery.”
Garcia enjoyed a respected season, ranked ninth in Liv’s individual player rankings and won the championship in Hong Kong last March.
What’s next for Sergio Garcia?
Garcia has previously expressed that she hopes to play in the “Ryder Cups” and may further take on the captain role.
Espanyol has competed in 10 games, hitting 28.5 points from his debut in 1999 to his last appearance in 2021.
Garcia’s decision to rejoin the DP World Tour and pay a fine to obtain a qualifying fine, which marks a serious statement of intent.
However, his performance has been questionable lately, with the player falling to 188 in the DP World Tour rankings, putting him at risk of missing the playoffs.
Garcia’s next big goal will be the Spanish Open next month. The former master champion needs great performances to improve his position in the rankings.
As far as Garcia’s Ryder Cup future goes, it all comes down to one thing – form.
The Spaniard’s experience always makes him a strong candidate for choice, but considering that he will be 47 when the next Ryder Cup is born, it’s questionable whether he’s excellent enough to justify his position on the team.
