Wanderers discover new Kuni, who Martin considers to be “exciting” £2m star

It can be argued that this season has not been planned for the Glasgow Rangers, especially the new Gers boss Russell Martin.
Last time out, Wanderers played the most boring Glasgow derby statistically, with the two fierce rivals amassing XGs on Ibrox to just 0.31.
This means that the Light Blue has failed to win the four fixtures that they opened in the Premier League campaign since 1983, after having previously had a 1-1 draw with Motherwell, Dundee and ST Mirren.
Of course, scoring targets have proven to be one of many key issues Martin faces as a Wanderer boss, with a lot of offensive talent leaving this summer, but one of his summer signings could finally solve this problem and end up being the new Václav Cčerný?
The importance of Vakraf Canny in the Rangers
Last season, in all games, the Rangers scored a total of 115 goals in 58 games.
Well, their top three scorers, namely Cyriel Dessers, Cerny and Hamza Igamane, contributed 63 goals (55%), but all three left in the summer.
Dessers were sold to Panathinaikos for £3.5 million on the deadline, and Igamane joined Lille a few days ago at 104 meters, and Karn did not return after the loan from Wolfsburg expired.
Instead, Czech International joined Beşiktaş for £6m, but considering that the Istanbul-based Giants failed to compete in the league stage of any European matches and the Wanderers were back in the Europa League, supporters may be dissatisfied with him not returning to Ibrox.
The following table highlights the importance of Canny last season.

Just like the desktop file, it was a key figure on the Rangers last season, with his six goals in the Europa League being particularly noteworthy.
The 27-year-old brought his Statistics Bureau to eight international goals on Friday night, with the second Czech Republic defeating Montenegro 2-0 in the World Cup qualifier in Podgorica, but can the Wanderers discover more potential wingers?
Ranger’s václavčerný upgrade
In a season where Rovers fans have barely cheered fans of the season so far, the form of Djeidi Gassama is certainly an exciting thing.
The 22-year-old arrived in Glasgow for £2.2 million and joined from crisis club Sheffield on Wednesday, who are being completely knocked down by Wantaway owner Dejphon Chansiri, thus approving the fire for all Owls assets.
So it seems that the Wanderers took advantage of the catastrophic situation in Hillsborough and bargained.
When he first arrived, manager Martin tagged Gassama as “exciting” and added that he would have fans “sit on the edge of their seats” and asserted that “he is on an upward trajectory … we look forward to seeing his action.”
Well, the 21-year-old certainly made a good first impression, scoring four in the early rounds of the Champions League qualifiers.
He won the game brilliantly against Panathinaikos, a goal during his eight nights in Athens before defeating Brace 3-0 at Ibrox in the third round.
As already outlined, what makes Kanny’s final product so outstanding in European competition is that Gasama has shown signs of being able to replicate.
In the Europa League phase, GERS will face: Genk (H), Sturm Graz (A), Brann (A), Roma (H), Braga (H), Ferencváros (a), Ludogorets Razgrad (H), and then Porto (A) in the final match.
Even considering the Rangers at the horrible start of the season, there are certainly some winable fixtures, so if they match last season’s run to the quarterfinals, or even better, Gassama will be the key to Light Blues’ hopes.
