Sportsnet’s Elliott Friedman joined Sirius XM NHL Network Radio with Gord Stellick and Scott Laughlin on Wednesday and was asked if trades are percolating as we head into November. Friedman mentioned the St. Louis Blues and Seattle Kraken as teams to watch, while the Vancouver Canucks continue to search for a center.

Friedman: “Vancouver took another shot at Pavel Zacha. I know, one of the things I heard was that Pastrnak was a big deal for Zacha. He kind of wanted him to stay in Boston. So that’s an interesting thing.”
About the St. Louis Blues:
Friedman: “One team that I’ve been kind of wondering about lately because I thought their GM was a little fearless, and I was actually surprised at how bad they looked, is St. Louis. I don’t know what he can do because he’s got a lot of no-trade clauses there, but like, he’s always given me a fearless vibe and if they don’t turn themselves around, like, that’s a guy, I’m going to be out. Watching.”

About the Seattle Kraken:
Friedman: “Actually, the other team, Gordo, I’ll say that because they’re so good. I think they surprised some of us, and that’s Seattle. One of the reasons I’m looking at them is Seattle made a trade with Tampa last year for (Oliver) Bjorkstrand and Gordo, which gave them some extra first-round picks.
