US Open 2025 results: Jessica Pegula defeats Barbora Krejcikova to enter semifinals

Jessica Pegula said she couldn’t imagine being so comfortable in a Grand Slam after sweeping Barbora Krejcikova to reach the U.S. Open semifinals.
The fourth seed in the United States beat former world No. 2 Krejcikova 6-3 6-3 to advance to the first four games, where she will face defending champions Aryna Sabalenka or Marketa Vondrousova.
Two-time Grand Slam singles champion Czech Krejcikova represents a dangerous opponent after recovering from the scene in the last round and saving eight games against Taylor Townsend.
But the impressive Pegula reached the semi-finals in New York for the second consecutive year.
“I’m really comfortable. It’s crazy to feel this comfort on the world’s largest court among the craziest crowds and the best players.
“This is something I never thought I would be good at 10 years ago, but I think I am.”
