US Open 2025: Qualifying is cancelled due to rainfall in New York, but mixed doubles continue

Britain’s Jodie Burrage and Jay Clarke were the group qualifiers that managed to go to the court earlier.

Burrage reached the second round in 2023 and was forced to leave Dutch opponent Arantxa Rus after 41 minutes of the game to trail 5-3.

Clark also had a breakup against French top seed Arthur Cazaux’s scoring line.

British Billy Harris, Francesca Jones, Harriet Dart and Oliver Crawford didn’t even appear in court.

Rain is expected for the rest of Wednesday.

There is still enough time for the three rounds of eligibility to end, and the singles main draw will begin on Sunday.

The U.S. Open is the last Grand Slam event of the 2025 season.
