Tottenham made it clear that improving on the Premier League table last season’s major signings will now be closed next month for Thomas Frank’s first major team before the 2025-26 campaign.
Tottenham has been heading for the signing of Mohammed Kudus from London rival West Ham in recent weeks. Chelsea also expressed interest in Ghana International, but he made it clear that he only wanted to travel to the north of the capital of England.
Negotiations between Tottenham and West Ham have been ongoing, but these are now over.
Tottenham agrees to deal with West Ham’s Mohammed Kudes
According to David Ornstein, Tottenham has reached a deal with West Ham to sign Kudus with a total package of £55 million. The 24-year-old, who registered five goals and three assists in 32 Premier League games last season, will now undergo a medical test before signing a new contract, which will last six years.
Kudus can be played on any wing, which is very valuable to Tottenham. He will compete with the likes of Brennan Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski and Son Heung-Min, and he should also accumulate a lot of game time in the Champions League at the starting point at Totterham Hotspur Stadium.
Kudus will add energy to Tottenham’s offense next season, and his arrival should allow the Europa League champion to perform better in the Premier League, which will be a basic requirement for the club’s board of directors, led by Daniel Levy.
But it is clear that further additions are needed before the summer transfer window closed in early September, and it remains to be seen who joins Kudus in north London.
