Under Armour opens performance center in Stoke Park – Golf News

Under Armour Golf has launched its new golf footwear performance center at Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire, offering a “footwear optimization process” that promises to match golfers with the ideal shoes for maximum performance.

The custom fit service combines BiomeCaforce AI-driven force plates, start-up monitor data and Sidas Podiatech foot analysis to evaluate swing mechanics, foot anatomy and force generation.

Players get tailor-made recommendations from the brand’s Drive Pro range and come with custom insoles built on-site.

At the July 29 press conference, Under Armour EMEA Managing Director Kevin Ross called it “the most advanced athlete performance tracking technology in golf.”

DP World Tour star Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen tested the system, reaching 2.5mph at Clubhead speed, with a 5% increase in vertical force peak.

“The whole process has been eye-opening and has brought me some vital benefits, including a 5% increase in vertical force,” Neergaard-Petersen said.

“The level of feedback is incredible and should make many golfers think about the effects of shoe optimization.”

Each two-hour course costs £500 and includes biomechanical testing, a pair of drive professional shoes and custom insoles.

Chris Murtagh, optimized by footwear chief, can be booked in Stoke Park cmurtagh@stokepark.co.uk
