Golf Business News – R&A announces Aloha Golf Club as the first sustainable agronomic premium venue

Aloha Golf Club in Malaga has become the first club on the Iberian Peninsula to work with R&A Agronomic Services to achieve a premium “stadium” support agreement.

As part of R&A’s increasing emphasis on delivering performance through sustainability, R&A Agronomy Services will actively promote agronomical and quality excellence and turf performance in the global golf industry based on factual evidence.

Paul Woodham, agronomic leader in Europe and the UK, commented, We have the honor of announcing Aloha as the first “location 2025” client in our growing golf club portfolio. It’s really exciting to work with such a renowned and forward-looking club, whose leadership and ambitions set a strong example for the wider golf community. ”

The role of internationally recognized people in governance and performances of world-class amateur and professional championships (including the Open and AIG Women’s Open), take role models as examples to promote long-term environmental responsibility without compromising performance.

The partnership with Aloha Golf Club will demonstrate the value of a tailored, sustainable approach to curriculum conditions. Luis Cornejo and Pablo Muñoz played a major role in the Spanish Club’s recent renovations and they will continue to support the project as part of the R&A’s agronomic team, as well as Woodham and Richard Windows, Assistant Director of Sustainable Agricultural Services at R&A in St Andrews.
