French Open 2025: Can Iga Swiatek be the “Queen of Clay” in Roland Garros?

“My life was reversed in November. It was not easy and it was not easy to accept afterwards.
“It took me a long time to do this, but now I feel like I have room just for work and hopefully I can use it.
“I’m looking for a time of peace and just waiting for it to happen.”
Swiatek mentioned a series of problems that have already arisen this year.
Swiatek was criticized in March for reacting to anger at a ball boy in India’s Wells before giving an extra sense of security after verbally abused by Miami’s “aggressive and ridiculous” fans.
Last month, she briefly returned to Warsaw for her grandfather’s funeral before Madrid’s open championship defense began.
In the heavy semifinal of Coco Gauff, Swiatek fell down in the transition under her towel and cried.
In Rome, she was obviously frustrated while having a brief chat with the media after a third round loss with Danielle Collins.
“It's not easy to be sure. Of course, I did something wrong,” she said.
“I need to regroup and change something.”
