In the first event of last year’s Bank of Utah Championship, Jaeger finished second, three strokes behind winner Matt McCarty. Does this make Jager another safe bet in 2025?
One half of the Subpar podcast duo seems to think so.
For this week’s Fanatics Subpar Betting of the Week, Subpar co-host Drew Stoltz has Jager selected as a top-20 pick (+260) at Black Desert Resort Golf Course in Ivins, Utah.
“You have to make a lot of birdies, and this guy I know can make a lot of birdies,” Stoltz said. “Even though he’s gotten more consistent, he’s still inconsistent. He’s added a lot of length to his game, which is part of the reason why he’s been so good the past few years. When he gets going, he’s going to get hot and make a lot of birdies.”

Subpar co-host Colt Knost has Taylor Montgomery in the top 20 in his bet (+280).
“He’s playing some good golf and was in the top 10 in his last PGA Tour start, and I heard he’s playing some good golf at home,” Knost said.
Stoltz added: “This should be a good golf course for him. It’s wide, it has no trees and it’s hard to play here.”
Michael Thorbjornsen is the favorite bettor with odds of +1400 to win, with Kurt Kitayama and Maverick McNealy (both +1800) close behind. Click here to learn how to watch this week’s game in Utah.
