Tottenham Hotspur 1-1 Newcastle – With son’s emotional report in South Korea, results and goals

Tottenham and Newcastle shared preseason trophy in Seoul as their preseason clash ended with a 1-1 record as Heung-Min’s son received an emotional farewell after announcing his departure this week.

The game inspired life almost immediately, and Tottenham’s start was brighter.

In the first few minutes, the North London side forced Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope into two sharp distances – first denied Pape Sarr’s close efforts and then pushed for follow-up, which led to a series of early corners.

The Spurs received a reward at a fast pace in the fourth minute. Kevin Danso intercepted from the defensive team and then slid a clever ball into Brennan Johnson, who touched a footstep before opening a low shot from the lower left corner of the area to the lower left corner, passing the Pope.

The opener forced Newcastle to grow into a game. They started using the midfield trio of Bruno Guimaraes, Lewis Miley and Joelinton to take possession, slamming the ball into dangerously wide areas.

Anthony Gordon has been a threat, seeing his right foot effort blocked after Jacob Murphy’s callback, and then Joelinton’s header narrowly wide from the Guimaraes cross.

The Pope’s heroic spirit on the other end kept the deficit in one place when he refused Mathys Tel’s close shot, but Newcastle’s pressure finally told.

In the 38th minute, Anthony Gordon took advantage of the space on the left and rolled a perfect weight on the Spurs box for Harvey Barnes.

The winger opened his body and brought the strike on his right foot into the corner, bringing Newcastle’s level.

The interval prompted changes to both managers to flood, with the Spurs introducing Micky van de Ven, Lucas Bergvall and Djed Spence.

The changes initially undermined Tottenham’s pace, Newcastle wasted a golden opportunity early in the second half, and Newcastle stood out, waving his shot from the center of the box.

As the second half progressed, the game stopped more and more, and a series of fouls and injuries broke the process.

Yves Bissouma and Richarlison were introduced after the hour mark, with Newcastle bringing responses from Tino Livramento and William Osula.

Despite the interruption, there was a chance: Bruno Guimaraes went on a long-distance strike, while Bergvall tested Newcastle’s replacement goalkeeper Mark Gillespie, who was much lower from outside the box, was pushed away.

As the game entered the final stage, the pace slowed down further. James Maddison tried to grab the serious injury and was replaced by Yang Min-Hyeok, while Newcastle made its mark with the late changes in Travis Hernes.

Richarlison was caught in the Spurs’ game in a setback, but the Hippies couldn’t find a winner, which gave the clumsy foul a yellow card.
