French Open 2025: Novak Djokovic bids goodbye to the Roland Garros crowd – but will he be back?

A sporadic season of Djokovic’s lofty standards raises questions about his endurance and motivation to enter Roland Garros.
The departure of rival-turned-coach Andy Murray also shows that despite winning his 100th ATP title at the Geneva Open, the incident was not the case.
Djokovic’s performance against Sinner shows that he is not ready for retirement – and highlights why he prioritized four majors later in his career.
“These games are the focus of my schedule,” Djokovic said.
“Wimbledon and we open, yes, they are planning. That’s what I can say right now.
“I think I’m sure I’m going to play these two. In the rest of the cases, I’m not sure.”
Djokovic will bid for the eight-time men’s singles champion at Wimbledon, losing to Alcalaz in the past two finals.
He added: “Wimbledon was my favorite game in childhood. I will do everything possible to prepare myself for myself.”
“I think my best chance is Wimbledon, winning another Grand Slam or Australia.”
