Top 15 rookies in PGA Tour history: Where is Scheffler ranked?

The PGA Tour’s Rookie of the Year Championship is an award that reflects who are the members of PGA Tour considering the best first year on the tour.
It is awarded after the member votes.
But who is the best of them and who has won the most money?
Here is a list of the top 10 rookies of the year and a little explanation of how they compile life-changing money.
We revealed who won, but who is the best?
1. CameronYoung 2022 $6,520,597
The reasonable reason is that the New York man has registered no less than seven top three, including the third place in the PGA champion and second in the Open.
If there is a gap, it is victory. Filling his resume proved to be a tricky gap. It was his first win in the 12th top three on the main tour when he won the 2025 Wyndham Championship.
2. Xander Schauffele 2017 $4,4312,674
The Californian did a great job on the PGA Tour, but he finished the game with a sensational style. First, he won the Wyndham title and then the Tour title.
Back in 2017, this did not guarantee a FedEx Cup victory, but he ranked third. He became a prolific winner and in 20,24 he made a major championship breakthrough with the PGA title and opening up.
3. Will Zalatoris 2021 3,935,686
The thin blonde with a stick was immediately hit on the PGA Tour, clearly easily finishing the top 10. He is particularly strong in professional and large competitions thanks to a great TEE-GREEN match (although plagued by crafty putters). His rookie year finished second in the Masters.
He will win the St. Jude title in his sophomore year, but the injury delays further progress.
4. JordanSpieth 2013 $3,879,820
The Texan is another straight miracle, but unlike the Zalatoris, putters are his strength. He won the John Deere classic, the second time, which included a lucrative tour title.
He is now a three-time major champion, including the first two in 2015, which briefly introduces the idea of a Grand Slam.
5. TrevorImmelman 2006 $3,844,189
The South African is remembered primarily for winning the 2008 Masters, but he was a rookie in 2006. Ironically, he missed the cuts in Augusta National, one of four consecutive job cuts.
But then he landed back to back for a few seconds in the Byron Nelson Championship Vacochovia Championship. It started 14 top 25 games in 15 games, ending with fifth place in the Tour Championship.
6. Keegan Bradley 2011 $3,758,600
If Incelman pooled funds through consistency, Bradley used two weeks of golf to raise funds. It was a regular champion for a rookie who had a success in the Byron Nelson Championship game in May, which was impressive, but he also added a PGA title in August.
7. EricCole 2024 $3,726,147
He is the second-biggest rookie of the year and the son of LPGA star Laura Baugh and one-time PGA Tour Tyro Bobby Cole.
He was prolific on the Little Tour (56 wins), but he was only 35 years old when he found the key to the game. Seven top 10 won his title and a lot of money.
8. AaronWise 2018 $3,486,407
If Cole was a stable Eddie, then wise people would thrive because of the hot spots. He finished second in the Wells Fargo Championship in early May, and then he won the Byron Nelson title the next two weeks later.
9. Emiliano Grillo 2016 $3,371,705
Argentina was impressed on the European Tour before crossing the Atlantic. He missed only two layoffs in all seasons and finished in 10 top 20 in 23 games.
10. ToddHamilton 2004 $ 3,063,778
It might be more than twenty years ago, oh, but Todd Hamilton’s sensational 2004 made sense. Before that year, he did almost nothing. Instead, he honed his craft during his trip to Japan.
Victory then, the Honda Classic is considered the best he can do. He then beat Ernie Els in the playoffs to win the Open.
The highest-paid PGA Tour rookie of the year – 11 to 15:
11. DanielBerger 2015 $3,028,901
12. RickieFowler 2010 $2,857,108
13.Sungjae IM 2019 $2,851,134
14. Brandt Snedeker 2007 $2,836,643
15. ScottieScheffler 2020 $2,833,438
Why is Scottie Scheffler so low?
Wait – Scottie Scheffler is only ranked 15th? Yes, despite his six top 10, his year was abbreviated due to restrictions, so he has less time to accumulate. He made up for that since then.
