Suzann Pettersen joins Sotogrande as Academy Ambassador – Golf News

Sotogrande announced that former Solheim Cup player, captain and two-time main champion Suzann Pettersen will become the global ambassador to the new Sotogrande Golf Academy – opening this August at the award-winning So/Sotogrande Spa and Golf Resort.
One of the most respected figures in international golf, Paterson will be the face of the academy, bringing her experience, passion and leadership into this transformative project.
College functions
Her appointment marks a major milestone before the Academy’s official launch and highlights Sotogrande’s commitment to creating world-class destinations for golf training and development.
The new golf academy located in the So/Sotogrande spa and golf resort will become the main hub for golf teaching in Southern Europe.
It will feature cutting-edge Toptracer driving range technology, natural and covered TEE lines with VIP practice areas, custom installation centers, night practice facilities, and bars and cafes.
Three-pole course
The facility will also feature a new 9-hole PAR-3 course designed by former Ryder Cup star, Manuel Piñero, a short game practice area that includes putting and chopping greens, and a professional coaching area.

Elite training
As part of her role, Suzann Pettersen will work closely with the college’s team of teaching professionals to develop tailored training programs that reflect her strategic approach to the game.
Pettersen draws on her extensive experience in the highest competition and will help her instill her coaching philosophy throughout the facility, ensuring a consistent elite-level approach to support golfers of all ages and abilities.
