Astros who chose Cooper Hummel

Astronauts will choose outfielder/first baseman contract Cooper Hummel From the land of triple sugar, according to Ari Alexander of KPRC 2. Now, Hummel rejoined the club last week in his second appointment with the Astros organization.

When the Astros assigned his mission on the opening day, Hamel’s first term ended, and Hamel refused a thorough mission after clearing the waiver and was elected to free agent. This brought some trading whirlwinds to Hummel over the next two or more months until he returned to Houston, where Hummel signed a minor league contract with the Yankees and two separate contracts with the Orioles. When the Yankees didn’t include him in an active roster by late May, he triggered an OUT clause in his deal with New York, while Hummel elected free agents twice in place of a direct mission in the Baltimore 40-man roster. Hummel was the minor league choice, resulting in a series of rosters.

Through all this, Hummel’s actual live performance in 2025 included a single Bat with the Orioles (as late in the field on May 30, defeating White Sox 2-1) and a 16-game match with the Yankees and the Astros’ Triple-A Federation. Hummel performed well among minors, with 68 Sanban crickets this season showing a .273/.382/.473 diagonal. This steady performance actually dropped slightly than his usual number, as Hummel’s career had a 0.284/.418/.480 slash on his 1487 trip, against Triple-A pitching.

Although Hummel has been smashing it among minors, he hasn’t gotten much observation. Hummel reached .159/.254/.274 in his 236-place career in the Grand Slam, with 201 of them appearing in his 2022 rookie season with the Diamondbacks. He began his career as a part-time catcher, apart from being a backup outfielder, although he has been unfit for behind the plate since 2023. Hummel Christian WalkerThe initial appearance in Houston could mean that Hummel would stick in the outfield during his time with the Astros.

Houston will need to make room on the 26-and-40-person roster to accommodate Hummel – the club currently has an open 40-person location, but yesterday’s report shows that Luis GuillormeAlso choosing a contract. Taylor Trammell and Pedro Leon Each season has every season, but remains on the 10-day injury roster, so Astros can transfer any of them to the 60-day IL to create space for Hummel.

As for the 26ers lineup action Isaac Paredes (hamstring strain) and Jacob Melton (Ankle sprain) may be a candidate for the 10-day injury list. Manager Joe Espada told Houston Chronicle’s Matt Kawahara and other journalists that both players are currently considered daily, but Espada said Melton suffered more serious injuries to both. The Astronauts also brought three catchers in their active lineup, so rarely used backups Cesar Salazar Three a can be selected.
