“To risk what’s happening here”

Paul Azinger said he texted Keegan Bradley to “go on the high road”. How he handled it not to impress him in the 2023 Ryder Cup team. He felt very polite. He told him that he would become the captain one day.
But the move to get Bradley to the position two years later?
“The people who put him there should know better,” Ashinger said.
Talk about golf’s underdog podcast after Europe beat Bradley’s champions 15-13 at the Ryder Cup in Bethpage Black on Sunday. When Bradley took the captain’s draft pick at the end of August, he ranked 11th in the U.S. rankings and 11th in the world rankings, but he chose not to choose himself and was fully committed to the captain.
But Azinger said it was a mistake, though not what Bradley was doing.
“I didn’t know he would be the captain now,” Ahsinger said on Subpar. “And I’ve been criticizing him for being the captain. If you’re going to pick a man at his peak, you’re going to risk what’s going on here this week.”
That’s failure, the Americans are ninth in the last 12 Ryder Cups. So who should be the captain?
On Subpar, Azinger wonders why there are no players selected. He named David Toms, Stewart Cink and Justin Leonard. But last July, Bradley was appointed as the place he accepted.
Then, whether he will become a question of a game.
“Will you pick yourself, don’t you? Or if he beats a bad job and ranks 38th, no problem, you’re just captain. But he has to go through all of this over and over again.”
“It’s his focus. I think you can almost say, OK, he messed up. He didn’t pick himself up.”
“That’s what I think. I mean, people will say that now. They will blame it on a lot of things,” Stolz said.
“He just unfortunately put him there, and the people who put him there should know better,” Azger said.
