Timberwolves’ Leonard Miller has suffered a finger injury for at least 2 weeks
The team announced in a press release that he had been diagnosed with the correct fifth finger gap and that during Tuesday’s practice, Minnesota Timberwolves forward Leonard Miller was injured during Tuesday’s practice.

Miller, who will turn 22 on Nov. 22, will be reevaluated within two weeks, meaning he will miss the rest of the training camp, while Minnesota has at least four of its six preseason games.
Miller, who is 6-foot-10, is the 33rd pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. He didn’t see much action in his first two NBA seasons, with only 84 minutes in 30 games in 13 games in 2024-25.
However, Canadian Hooper performed well in the G League last season, averaging 26 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.2 assists, 1.2 blocks and 37.5 minutes of games per 26 games, with 26 games in the Iowa Wolves.
Miller has no guaranteed money outside of his $2.22 million salary this season, as his four-year, $8.3 million contract includes a team option worth $2.41 million in 2026-27.
Miller will reportedly miss the rest of the training camp and at least four of Minnesota’s six preseason games.
Bones Hyland re-signs with Timberwolves
League sources told Hoopshype’s Michael Scotto that last month, free agent defender Bones Hyland re-signed a one-year contract with the Timberwolves, which included a partial guarantee of $425,000.
On September 14, 25-year-old Hyland signed a two-way contract with the Wolves after being abandoned by the Atlanta Hawks in February.
The 6-foot-2 combination guard has made only four appearances in Minnesota after seeing 20-game moves for the Los Angeles Clippers earlier this season.
He averaged 6.2 points, 1.3 assists and 10 minutes of games while shooting 39.8% from the field and 39% from three-pointers, and the foul line for both teams in 2024-25 was 88.5%.
Wolves basketball business president Tim Connelly selected former VCU outstanding candidates at the 2021 draft when Connelly ran the front desk for the Denver Nuggets.
In his last two seasons in Denver, the floor has shot 40.1% from the field and scored 10.9 points on 40.1% from the field. However, after Calvin Booth replaced Connelly at the helm, the Nuggets traded him to the Clippers at the 2023 deadline.
Timberwolves visited the Portland Trail Blazers on October 22 to open their 2025-26 season.
