This is the second time the 35-year-old has been knocked out by Boston this year. From 2019 to 2021, he surrendered 7.36 ERA and 5.50 FIP in 33 innings while pitching for Padres, Red Sox, Cubs and Mets. After the 2021 season, the stock left the affiliate ball as the starter of the KBO League in the 2022 campaign.

In view of this, the Red Sox decided to give the right-hander straight to the minor and keep him folded as an emergency depth option, which is not shocking, and they can send it back to the professional when they need extra arms to provide a bullpen or emergency starter. Until this happens or the end of the 2025 sports, the stock remains a member of the triple pitcher who provides Boston with a non-strong depth.
