Tiger recovered for 60 days of IL Parker Meadows

Tiger announces outfielder Parker Meadow Recovered from the 60-day list of injuries. Outfielder Justyn-Henry Malloy In the corresponding activity roster, Triple-A Toledo selection has been selected. Open a 40-person position, right-handed Ryan Cusick Has been assigned as a job. Evan Petzold of Detroit Free Press reported that Meadows and Malloy moved ahead of the official announcement.

Meadows, 25, will make his debut immediately after entering the game. Back in February, he was battling some inflammation in his right upper arm. It was later revealed that this was due to muscle nerve problems. He was placed on the 60-day IL in late March, indicating that he wouldn’t be an option for the Tigers in the first two months of the season.

He seems to be fine now. Over the past two weeks, he has participated in eight rehabilitation competitions and brought out a stout beer in it.259/.394/.556. His shot was a concern when the issue first came up, but he had been playing during his recovery, so he was also good in that regard.

Now that he is back, it should help the Tigers. In the first two seasons, Meadows reached .241/.317/.413 in 119 games with 106 WRC+. He also stole 17 bases and achieved strong results for defense in the field. Fangraphs attributed him a 3.1 win at that time, even if he played the full season inadequately worth it.

The Tigers have many health issues in the outfield this year. Except for the grass, Matt Vierling and Wence el Pérez I missed a lot of time, too. Vierling has been restored recently, but has returned to IL in just a few days later.

The club has managed to avoid the storm and what is expected. Riley Greene and Kerry Carpenter Both are great, and utilities like Javier Báez and Zach McKinstry It also made good contributions. Now, Meadows and Pérez are back, which should further strengthen a team that has already led the pros with a 39-21 record.

Cusick, 25, was just exempted from A few days ago. In the coming days, he may back down again and he may clear it. As the best team in baseball, the Tigers are at the bottom of the exemption priority list, so the other 29 clubs passed him just a few days ago.

Cusick’s minor league job was once the first-round pick in Atlanta and hasn’t generated much optimism yet. He released the difference in A’s figures among minors in 2022, 2023 and the first half of 2024. Relief measures last year inspired some optimism as he released a 1.73 ERA in the last 26 innings. However, his results are backed up here in 2025. He received a 6.75 ERA in 14 2/3 Triple-A innings before A appointed his mission. He threw a inning for Toledo since being claimed.
