Gilbert Arenas arrested for allegedly running an illegal gambling business – Basketball insider

Former NBA star Gilbert Arenas was arrested with five other federal indictments, accusing them of operating an illegal gambling business. The company’s high-bet poker game has been reportedly played in Arenas’ Encino mansion.
Arenas is charged with one count of conspiracy to run an illegal gambling business. He is also charged with one illegal gambling business and one count of making false statements to federal investigators.
One of the five other defendants is Yevgeni Gershman, a suspicious senior member of Israel’s transnational organized crime group. All of this was recorded between September 2021 and July 2022.
