The weather is finally turning around in Arizona, with cooler mornings and evenings replacing the hot sunrise and sunset temperatures of summer that lasted into October this year.
The fresh weather means I can finally start walking around the golf course again – my favorite way to play. Now that I’ve joined the stroller club, walking feels easier, especially with BIG MAX’s latest version, the Blade IP 2 stroller, which I took out for a test spin during my latest round. This is my favorite thing.
portability
The best feature of the Blade IP 2 is that it folds into a nearly flat position in just two steps, making storage and portability a breeze. The rear wheels fold automatically so it takes up very little space in the back of the car or in the garage where I store the car between races. It’s not heavy either – the aircraft-grade aluminum is so light (13.6 pounds) that I could easily lift it with one hand. However, once the cart locks into place for use, it feels sturdy rather than flimsy.
Push height adjustable
The Blade IP 2 gives you the ability to set your desired handle push height, which is a really nice feature, especially if you’re only 5 feet 4 inches tall.
Two-foot braking provides ample stopping power even on slippery, uneven terrain.
Smooth driving
The three wheels provide a super smooth ride and I had no issues going up and down hills. I made sure to carefully negotiate curbs and other elevated surfaces, but the cart had zero performance issues during this round.
type
I love that this cart comes in more colors than basic black. You can choose from four other options, ranging from white to charcoal, or black with red or lime green accents.
Elastic clip
Not going to lie – it took me an embarrassingly long time to get the adjustment right at the bottom of my bag. But once I got the hang of it, I appreciated the tight squeeze the string gave the bag, keeping it securely in place throughout the round.
storage
For people who carry a lot of stuff, the XL storage box on the handle is a big plus. It has enough room for a standard water bottle, rangefinder, and more. I removed all the head coverings before playing, but for those who like to keep more of their items out in the open rather than zipped up in a bag, investing in a basket that spans the bottom of the car would be a wise move.
Ultimately, the only thing I felt the car needed to improve upon was the addition of a few accessories, such as an external drink holder and phone holder. But luckily for you, BIG MAX is currently running an epic sale: every cart order includes a free accessory pack (attachable drink holder, phone holder, and umbrella holder)—an $87.50 value! So take advantage while you can. If you are a walking golfer, you will love everything this cart has to offer.
