In 2025, the salary of professional golf caddy has reached an unprecedented level.
The highest-paid people not only keep moving on the road—they help guide elite players to win and consistently make the top ten.
From Liv’s intoxicating tournament spending to PGA Tour professional and high-risk tournaments, these bags get a life-changing sum.
As we all know, Caddies brings 10% of the player prize home with a maximum of 10% and uses 5% as base to win the game.
Using the 5/7/10 rule, we broke the five highest car caddies of the year, revealing who they played for, their players’ victory and their approximate winners in another lucrative season.
1. GaryMatthews (Joaquinn Niemann) – $293,000

Joaquin Niemann ruled the Liv Golf League in 2025, winning five solo events – Adelaide, Singapore, Mexico, Virginia and the UK, each with at least $4 million in individual prizes.
His caddie Gary Matthews won $400,000 per game, plus Niemann’s $800,000 effort in LIV individual title, and on the last hurdle he dropped a few times in Jon Rahm’s game.
Throughout the season, the other top ten scored his total caddy income to about $2.93 million, making him the highest-paid caddy of the year.
2. AdamHayes (Jon Rahm) – $275,000

Jon Rahm’s consistency is excellent. Although he didn’t win the regular season, he finished seven top ten in games including Riyadh, Miami, Dallas and Chicago.
The huge payday was played at the LIV Golf Individual Championship, with Ram earning $18 million in his second year, with only $1.8 million for Adam Hayes alone.
Adding to the top 10 revenues from other events, Hayes completed the year for about $2.75 million.
3. TedScott (Scottie Scheffler) – $211 million

Scottie Scheffler dominated the PGA Tour with five wins and 16 top ten in 2025.
While individual spending on PGA Tour events is usually smaller than Liv’s $4 million win, Scheffler’s consistent excellence, including two major championship wins and the Open at the PGA Championship, means Ted Scott scored more than $2.11 million.
Scheffler’s season-long dominance ensured that his baggage guru was one of the elite earnings of golf.
4. IanFinnis (Tommy Fleetwood) – $159,000

Tommy Fleetwood’s big moment was when he won a $10 million championship check in his lucrative Tour Championship at the East Lake Golf Club.
Ian Finnis made $1 million on this win alone, but the bonus was trivial compared to Fleetwood’s joy.
Added seven top ten this season, his total caddie earnings reached around $1.59 million, putting him in fourth place.
5. HarryDiamond (Rory McIlroy) – $1.38 million

Rory McIlroy continued his PGA Tour success with three wins and eight top ten in 2025.
The Canadian Open contributed a lot in the victory at AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and Players Championship
But his crowning moment with caddie Harry Diamond was the Masters champion at Augusta National, who became McIlroy’s Grand Slam as he was just the sixth player to join the coveted club.
The cuts per win were 10%, compared to the 7% cuts for the top 10, which brought Diamond’s revenue to about $1.38 million, the top five this year.
