Free agent rescuer Brooks Raley A bullpen meeting was reported in Texas this morning, and Salmon, of track and field, reportedly reported. According to Sammon, more than 12 teams participated.
Raley has removed about 11 months from Tommy John's program last May, so he may not be ready for the game. The surgery ended his two-year career with the Mets. Raley's 2023 season was impressive, scoring an average running score of 2.80 in 54 2/3 innings. Last season, he shot seven points-free frames with nine strikeouts before shooting at the elbow. Raley recorded three saves and 29 shots, while surrendering to just three leading seasons in the Mets uniform.
The 36-year-old Southpaw is a ball-breaking expert. Raley relies primarily on his 80s sweepers and mid-80s cutters. He is best at avoiding close contact every year. He also radiated nearly 26% of opponent batsmen in 2023 with a steady 11.8% swing rate. Raley was tied to the Cubs and Yankees in January, but in reality, any team that is as an affordable bullpen depth may be interested.
