Sunderland’s summer transfer window has been very good so far and things will soon get better for the latest publicity side.

Enzo Le Fee, Habib Diarra, Noah Sadiki, Reinildo Mandava, Chemsdine Talbi and Simon Adringa have sailed into the Light Stadium and there will be more. It was pointed out that the vast majority of these players came from Africa, although the club was not stopped when the African Cup of Nations happened in the winter.

This has been proven in the latest players they have caused.

Bilal El Khannous in Operation Leicester City

According to L’Equipe (via Sunderland Echo), Sunderland is interested in signing Bilal El Khannouss. Morocco’s organizer impressed Leicester’s relegation last season, and his reward may be to stay in the Premier League.

El Khannous, who registered three goals and five assists during the 2024-25 campaign, previously attracted interest from Arsenal, but now he can move to Sunderland. However, the Ligue 1 team is in Monaco and they have a hard time getting Northeast clubs to get their men.

El Khannous will be a great signing for Sunderland, and although that’s only a season, his Premier League experience will be valuable – especially considering that they’re expected to be in a relegation battle, just like Leicester.

Whether Sunderland’s interest in El Khannouss leads to the attempt to sign him remains to be seen. It would be a surprise if he spent the 2025-26 season at Leicester, so it is possible to close the deal before the summer transfer window closed in early September.
